Amarnath Temple

The holy altar of Amarnath Ji, or Amarnath Temple, is located at an elevation of 3,888 meters approx., about 29 kilometers from Pahalgam. The pilgrimage site received its name from the Hindi words ‘Amar’ which stands for immortal, and ‘Nath’ for god. Shesnag Lake is another popular attraction of Amarnath.
